The winner in the Baby&Infant category is the innovative HEROS Building Block Chain from Simba Toys. Tremendously flexible buildings can be created with this special chain design. These are not only very stable but can also be turned and shifted without falling over. Young builders can soon make a straight wall into a curve and create imaginative worlds. The jury especially praised the highly variable level of difficulty, so that the toy grows with the little rascals. The quality and subtle colour scheme of the high-grade beech blocks "Made in Germany" were also convincing.
PULL-ALONG ANIMALSEINFACH GUT spielen
The "feet" of the PULL-ALONG ANIMALS from EINFACH GUT spielen are so flexible that they can even be pulled over rough and smooth ground without losing their grip. The simple design and very pleasant colour scheme makes the pull-along animal a real alternative to garish pull-alongs with rollers and delights both parents and the kids. The jury is impressed: “A successful re-invention of an old theme” is the unanimous verdict.

And after a ride on the big wheel it’s worth paying a visit to the ice-cream parlour – or should the kids rather watch the clowns or the break-dancers? Playmobil’s Leisure Park impresses with its many careful details that fascinate both girls and boys. This concept also convinced the jury, which awarded it first prize in the PreSchool category.

Why do I need a storyboard? The Cartoon Workshop is a system that has been thought out down to the smallest detail and encourages the creativity of young film-makers without neglecting the new media.

With a size of only 45mm x 45mm x 10mm, what is probably the smallest remote-controlled RC quadrocopter can also take off indoors. The flyweight of only 11.5 grams with a flight time of up to six minutes and a range of 50 metres can also take off – on a still day – in the yard. The jury was delighted with the aerodynamic qualities and the value for money of the 4-channel ready-to-fly quadrocopter, which is available in two different designs. The LED lighting and a trimming function on the handy remote controller promise unique flying fun.

The MiP robot balances on rollers and moves through the home, follows the gestures of its human friend, manoeuvres its way round obstacles – and even carries objects around on a tray. The action-packed family game Ka-Boom from Hutter Trade GmbH & Co. KG convinced the jury because all players move at the same time and it’s never boring. A builder builds the towers shown on the board cards against the clock, while the saboteurs shoot cubes at the buildings with a catapult. Even an earthquake can be caused in certain constellations. Ka-Boom develops geometric thinking and the make-n-break factor promises plenty of action and fun.
